InTec, LLC is a Business Partner with ESRI, Inc. ESRI designs and develops the world's leading geographic information system (GIS) technology.

InTec provides consulting services for GIS:

• Development of requirements
• Strategic planning
• Design and system development
• Operations and Maintenance of established systems

InTec personnel have been at the foreront in the use of GIS technology in the Department of Defense:

• Personnel established the first GIS course at the Defense Mapping School in 1987.
• Personnel were instrumental in the analysis of the first DoD GIS database, Digital Chart of the World (DCW) for the Australian Department of Defense in 1990.
• InTec personnel have worked closely with the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO) in the development of geospatial databases for use in simulation systems for training and analysis.
• InTec personnel managed the development and fielding of the Master Environmental Library (MEL), developed for the DMSO, a web enabled system for search and retrieval of geospatial terrain, ocean, weather, and near space data contained in repositories across the US . The system used FGDC metadata standards for consistency of data identification.
